The Block by Block AI Safety and Security Alliance is the governance framework for responsible AI deployment. Three Laws. 50 Principles. One standard that organizations, schools, healthcare systems, and government agencies can adopt and trust.
The Human Principle
AI does not replace human judgment. It amplifies it — for those who are prepared. Every principle of the Alliance is built on this foundation: the strength of the human at the center is what determines whether AI becomes a tool or a threat.
THE FOUNDATION
Every one of the Alliance's 50 Principles flows from three immutable laws. These are not guidelines. These are the standard.
First Law
"AI must comply with all applicable laws and regulations."
Every deployment of AI technology must operate within the full scope of applicable law — federal, state, local, and international: the AI Video Interview Act (820 ILCS 42), the Human Rights Act AI amendment (775 ILCS 5/2-102(L), P.A. 103-0804), BIPA (740 ILCS 14), and, for covered entities and their business associates, HIPAA. The Alliance maps the legal landscape and gives organizations a framework to prepare for these rules as they evolve, with your counsel confirming what applies.
Second Law
"AI must be used in ways that are fair, transparent, and free from harmful bias."
The law is the floor — ethics is the standard we hold ourselves to above it. The Alliance requires that AI deployments are auditable, explainable, and tested for disparate impact. What you cannot explain, you cannot deploy.
Third Law
"AI must serve human dignity and the broader good."
Beyond law and ethics sits the moral obligation: AI must be used to elevate, protect, and serve the people it touches. The Alliance holds its members to a standard that no regulator will ever fully codify — because human dignity cannot be legislated, only chosen.
WHY NOW
AI is being deployed faster than any organization can govern it. The Alliance exists to close that gap — before regulators do it for you.
The AI Video Interview Act (820 ILCS 42), the Human Rights Act AI amendment (775 ILCS 5/2-102(L), P.A. 103-0804), and BIPA (740 ILCS 14) signal that Illinois is the proving ground for AI governance in the U.S. Organizations without a framework are already behind. The Alliance gives you the framework before the enforcement arrives.
AI is entering hospitals, caregiving systems, and behavioral health environments with no consistent governance framework. The Alliance's healthcare module addresses clinical AI, behavioral analytics, elder care, and cognitive decline environments — where the stakes are highest.
AI is entering classrooms and school operations faster than districts can govern it, and the behavioral shifts that follow require proactive management frameworks — not just policy documents. The Alliance provides the behavioral safety standard school districts need to adopt AI responsibly and safely.
Traditional threat assessment was built for physical environments. AI-assisted behavioral analytics requires new protocols, new standards, and new skills.
DEPLOYMENT SECTORS
The Three Laws apply everywhere AI is deployed. These are the sectors where Alliance membership is most critical right now.
JOIN THE ALLIANCE
The Alliance is free to join — anyone who adopts the Three Laws can become a member. The AI Impact Academy is an optional path for deeper training, not a requirement.
Membership is free and open to anyone who commits to the Three Laws and the 50 Principles. The AI Impact Academy is an optional path for teams that want structured training — it is not required to join the Block by Block AI Safety and Security Alliance.
Whether you're a business, a school district, a healthcare system, or a security professional — the Block by Block AI Safety and Security Alliance gives you the governance framework AI deployment requires. It is free to join, and the AI Impact Academy is an optional path for teams that want structured training.
